నిష్కపటమైన, నిస్వార్థమైన, స్వచ్ఛమైన ప్రేమ - తల్లిదండ్రుల ఆరాధన (పూజా) దినం, ఫిబ్రవరి 14 (ఆంగ్లము/ తెలుగు)

Lord Ganesha is the ideal for us, he worshiped his parents Parvati Shiva, earned the virtue of moving around earth/ universe and won the leadership over gaNa.

తల్లి దండ్రులు పార్వతీ పరమేశ్వరుల కు పూజ చేసి, విశ్వప్రదక్షణ చేసిన పుణ్యాన్ని సంపాదించి, గణాధిపత్యాన్ని సాధించిన, గణేషుడు మనకు ఆదర్శం.

A person, who is not serving/ worshiping his own parents by forgetting their sacrifices for him, can't do good or justice to his own family and society without selfishness (or expectation).

తనకోసం తన తల్లితండ్రులు చేసిన త్యాగాలను మరచి, వారికి సేవ/ పూజలు చేయని వ్యక్తి, స్వార్థం లేకుండా (లేదా ఏమీ ఆశించకుండా), సొంత కుటుంబానికి మరియు సమాజానికి మేలు చేయలేడు.

The person can't teach Samskara gratitude to his next generations because even he doesn't know that. Even the person can't be a pure true devotee for any spiritual God or Guru. Need more births to get Moksha, because he can't win Arishadvarg.

తనకే తెలియని సంస్కారాన్ని క్రుతజ్ఞతను, ఆ వ్యక్తి తన తర్వాత తరాలకు నేర్పలేడు. ఆ వ్యక్తి కూడా, ఏ ఆధ్యాత్మిక దేవుడికి లేదా గురువుకు, స్వచ్ఛమైన నిజమైన భక్తుడు కాలేడు. మోక్షానికి ఎన్నో జన్మలు ఎత్తాలి, ఎందుకంటే అరిషడ్వర్గాలను జయించలేడు.

So at least now, we can start practically loving and worshipping our living Gods. We already learned in childhood, Matru devobhava and Pitru Devobhava. Now put that in practice.

If we don't have living parents now, don't worry, we can find someone in our relatives/ neighbors. We are praying and doing puja to the stone by thinking as God/ Guru. So we can do puja/ service to other living parents by remembering our parents, correct?

మనకు ఇప్పుడు జీవించి ఉన్న తల్లిదండ్రులు లేకుంటే, చింతన వద్దు, మన బంధువులలో/ పొరుగువారిలో ఎవరైనా కనుగొనవచ్చు. దేవుడిగా/ గురువుగా భావించి, రాయికి పూజలు చేస్తున్నాం. కాబట్టి మనం జీవించి ఉన్న ఇతరుల తల్లిదండ్రులకు, మన తల్లిదండ్రులు ను స్మరించుకుని పూజ/ సేవ చేయవచ్చు, తప్పు లేదు కదా?

Today, such pious feelings of pure and selfless love have given way to the degenerative passion and lust, which has now come to be accepted as love. 14th February is celebrated as Valentine’s Day. Young boys and girls in the west exchange greetings cards, chocolates and roses with each on this day.

Vedic scripture says Matri Devo Bhavah, Pitri Devo Bhavah meaning Regard your Mother as God, regard your Father as God. Parents undergo
various hardships to grow their children and provide them with all kind of comforts without expecting anything in return. Seeing their so many selfless sacrifices, they are worth worshiping.

మాతృ దేవో భవః, పిత్రి దేవో భవః, అంటే మీ తల్లిని దేవుడిగా పరిగణించండి, మీ తండ్రిని దేవుడిగా పరిగణించండి, అని వేద గ్రంధాలు చెబుతున్నాయి. తల్లిదండ్రులు, తమ పిల్లలను ఎదగడానికి మరియు ప్రతిఫలంగా ఏమీ ఆశించకుండా, వారికి అన్ని రకాల సుఖాలను అందించడానికి వివిధ కష్టాలు, పడ్డారు. వారి అనేక నిస్వార్థ త్యాగాలను చూసి, వారు పూజించదగినవారు.

There are festivals dedicated to worship Lord Ganesh, Shiva, Durga, Rama, Krishna, Guru, etc. but there is no day to worship our Parents – the living Gods. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a day to express our love and gratitude toward parents by worshiping them?

గణేష్, శివుడు, దుర్గ, రాముడు, కృష్ణుడు, గురువు మొదలైన వారిని పూజించడానికి అంకితమైన పండుగలు ఉన్నాయి, కానీ మన తల్లిదండ్రులను - సజీవ దేవతలను ఆరాధించే రోజు లేదు. తల్లిదండ్రులను ఆరాధించడం ద్వారా వారి పట్ల మన ప్రేమ మరియు కృతజ్ఞతలను వ్యక్తీకరించడానికి ఒక రోజు ఉంటే మంచిది కాదా?

February 14 is celebrated as Valentine's Day – Love Day. This would be the best day to express our love and gratitude for Parents. Just like how Lord Ganesh worshiped His Parents, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati; and was blessed by Shiva as the first God to be worshiped among all Gods.

Similarly, on February 14, children bow down to their parents, perform their Pooja and Aarti, circumambulate around Parents, hug them, share sweets, and take pledge of serving them.

1. Since 2012, February 14 is officially celebrated as Matru Pitru Poojan Diwas in all government schools of Chhattisgarh.
